is a virtual assistant?
A virtual assistant or virtual PA is
just like the kind of assistant you would have in an office except they
are 'virtual' which means that they can't collect your dry cleaning for
you. Virtual assistant can do most other things for you including taking
your phone calls, booking appointments, answering emails and small scale
project management. If you have other requirements such as accounting,

'Outsourcing' is the broad term
used to describe services that are provided outside of a company or
organisation. These are usually services such web design or marketing
that may require specialise knowledge that isn't available within the
company. For small businesses outsourcing is the easiest way to run a
professional organisation without the expenses of full time employment
of staff. For example, you can employ a virtual assistant to take your
calls, answer emails and book appointments for you without having to
rent office space. You can also outsource your phone calls so you don't
